My Story

Julie Milack’s journey in dance and fitness began on Long Island, NY. She honed her craft early on as a full scholarship recipient at USDAN Camp of the Performing Arts and trained at the prestigious Joffrey Ballet School of New York. Julie also gained recognition as a model for dance costume catalogs like FINA.

Her passion for dance led her to perform at prominent events, including the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida, the nation’s largest collegiate halftime show. In 2006, she completed a summer internship at Broadway Dance Center, training under renowned instructors such as Kat Wildish, Luam, Leslie Feliciano, Frank Hatchett, Sheila Barker, and Slam. Guided and inspired by her mentor Alison Seidenstricker, Julie pursued a degree in Dance at Slippery Rock University, performing with the SRU Dance Theater and the Dance Express team. She also joined ASEID Contemporary Dance Company, marking her first performance with a professional modern dance company.

Julie furthered her education at Hunter College, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Dance. She showcased her talent with the Hunter College Dance Company and performed at iconic venues such as the Pepsi Arena, Trump Taj Mahal, and Radio City Music Hall. Her versatility as a performer is evident in her work with artists like Nelly Furtado and Timbaland on “The View” and Ne-Yo at a benefit fundraiser, as well as touring nationally with freestyle artist Safire.

In addition to her dance credentials, Julie holds a BA in Dance, Kinesiology, and Cardiovascular Technology. She is nationally certified in Personal Training, Barre, Animal Flow, Kettlebell, and Special Needs/Disabilities training. After the birth of her son Lawrence, Julie joined Equinox as a Personal Trainer, where she continued her professional development in health, fitness, and nutrition through their esteemed education program.

Today, Julie combines her extensive background in dance and fitness to teach children, teens, adults, and seniors. Her approach is centered on injury prevention, recovery, and promoting a lifelong love of movement and wellness.
